B2 German Course in Nepal
B2 is the fourth CEFR level and the upper-intermediate threshold. At B2 you can understand the main ideas of complex text, interact with native speakers fluently enough that neither side is straining, and argue a position in detail.
B2 is where German stops being a language you are learning and becomes one you can work in. It is also the level that decides several careers: most nursing and healthcare employers in Germany expect B2 rather than B1, and German-taught university programmes generally require it. If B1 is the gate to arriving, B2 is the gate to the better jobs once you are there.

- Understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics
- Follow technical discussion in your own field of specialisation
- Interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes conversation with native speakers comfortable for both sides
- Produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects
- Explain a viewpoint on a topical issue, giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options
- Write formal correspondence, reports and structured arguments
B2 syllabus
- Advanced sentence structure
- Extended relative clauses, participle constructions, nominalisation, and the compressed written style used in formal German.
- Konjunktiv I and reported speech
- Indirect speech as used in news, reports and formal writing, alongside a fuller treatment of Konjunktiv II.
- The full passive system
- Passive across all tenses, the Zustandspassiv, passive with modal verbs, and common alternatives to the passive.
- Connectors and text cohesion
- Two-part connectors such as je...desto, sowohl...als auch and entweder...oder, plus the adverbial connectors that hold longer arguments together.
- Verbs with fixed prepositions
- Verb-preposition pairs and the da- and wo- compounds that accompany them, which separate a B2 speaker from a B1 one more clearly than almost anything else.
- Professional and academic German
- Reports, formal correspondence, summarising a text, presenting data, and the register expected in a German workplace.
- Discussion and argument
- Structuring an extended argument, conceding a point, disagreeing politely, and sustaining a position under challenge.
- Exam-format practice
- Reading, listening, writing and speaking tasks in B2 examination format, with timed practice and group speaking sessions.

What B2 lets you apply for
B2 from a recognised provider is commonly required for nursing and healthcare roles in Germany, is widely expected for German-taught university admission, and strengthens any Ausbildung application. Specific requirements vary by employer, university and federal state, and they change, so confirm yours with the institution concerned before planning around it.

B2 German: frequently asked questions
Why do I need B2 instead of B1 for nursing in Germany?
Healthcare work involves understanding patients who are unwell, distressed or speaking in dialect, and documenting care accurately in writing. B1 is not a comfortable level for that, which is why most German healthcare employers and recognition authorities expect B2. Confirm the exact requirement with your employer and the relevant state authority.
How long does the B2 German course take?
Two months, with 1.5 hours of class per day from Sunday to Friday. B2 generally needs more independent practice than the lower levels, because the jump from B1 is larger than the jump from A2 to B1.
How much does a B2 German course cost in Nepal?

Can I go straight from A2 to B2?
No. B2 assumes full command of B1 grammar, including the passive, Konjunktiv II and complex sentence structure. Skipping B1 is the most reliable way to struggle at B2 and to fail the examination on the first attempt.
Is B2 harder than B1?
Noticeably. The step from B1 to B2 is the largest single jump in the CEFR ladder below C1. The vocabulary becomes more abstract, the listening material runs at natural speed with less repetition, and the speaking examination expects you to sustain and defend an argument rather than simply express an opinion.
Do you conduct the B2 exam?
No. We prepare students for B2 examinations but we are not an examination centre. Goethe, ÖSD and telc examinations are administered only at accredited centres, where you register directly as an external candidate.
